What is LAC?
The Living Artists Collective is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, EIN #87-4147773, that was formed to support practicing visual artists while they are alive.
Together, we are a group of artists and their supporters who understand the power of art, beauty, and diversity to enrich the cultural fabric of our society. If we want creative people in increasingly expensive cities, we need to put real money towards their expenses.
Our Goals:
Put on fun and accessible events.
Create grants for low-income artists.
Educate the public on why supporting living artists is important.
How are we supported?
We are supported via generous community donations to our tax-exempt charitable nonprofit, and by sponsorships and earnings from the events we throw. Your financial contributions go towards establishing grants for qualifying low-income visual artists and covering our operating expenses. We are excited to share with you what we’re doing to meet our targeted financial goals.

Who are the artists?
LAC artists are practicing visual artists in the greater Seattle area or with ties to it, who have applied and been accepted. Current LAC artists benefit from inclusion in shows, invitations to gatherings and collaborations, and access to curated opportunities. We cultivate artistic community and provide platforms for creative play.
Artist applications are currently closed while we catch up on adding new people, plus build up our roster of volunteers who can help with programming benefiting LAC artists. If you enjoy facilitating meetups, providing resources, and communicating with artists to build community, please reach out about volunteering!
